Todd Stricklin has served as the pastor of NBBC since the church’s founding in January of 2003. He has a burden to see a growing passion for God and His Word in his own life and in the lives of the NBBC community.
Todd graduated in 1985 with a B.A. from Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC, 2013 with a M.A. in Christian Studies, and in 2015 with an MDiv, both from Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, GA. However, he readily acknowledges that it was the more than nine years at First Baptist Church, Warwick, RI, under the ministry and guidance of his pastor and uncle, Sam Stricklin that he received the training that formed and prepared him for ministry. Responding to the Lord’s call to missions, the Stricklins finished deputation in the spring of 1998 and immediately entered a year of language training in San Jose, Costa Rica. Following a brief medical furlough, the family spent the following two and one-half years ministering in Managua, Nicaragua. In 2002 a church was organized that remains strong and growing still today. Pastor Todd is still heavily involved with this established work in Nicaragua.
Maureen and Todd met at First Baptist Church and were married in 1990. They have two sons, Trevor and Torrey, and a daughter, Alexandria.
Alexandria passed away May 1, 2014 from complications due to Children’s Pulmonary Hypertension.
