What to Expect

What are the Worship Services Like?

The music is wonderful, heartwarming and worshipful! The congregational singing fills the room. People sing from the heart. Our Pastor normally begins a sermon with these words, “Please turn in your Bibles to…” The rest of the sermon focuses on explaining that portion of the Bible in understandable, applicable terms. In all of our services, the Bible is taught and preached as the inerrant and infallible Word of God. You can expect to hear relevant messages that will help your family to live according to God’s plan.

The main worship service is usually about an hour and fifteen minutes in length.

How Should I Dress?

Obviously, our focus is on worshipping the Lord Jesus, not on impressing people with a fashion show. That said, most people want to dress appropriately for a public event. At NBBC there’s no specific dress code for those who attend.  However, we believe that the Bible teaches a principle of modesty. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here!

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Narragansett Bay Baptist for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Is NBBC for me?

Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Narragansett Bay Baptist Church will be life-changing! We exist to help people find a personal  relationship with God, and to help you lead a fulfilled life in Him. We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you arrive. Hope to meet you soon!
